Chameleon in the News!
In the newspapers, magazines and online!
With Joseph only three weeks away, the Chameleon Theatre Circle has been getting itself into the news lately. And, hopefully, people are starting to take notice!
Local Papers & Magazines
Recently, the Chameleon Theatre Circle was featured in the February/March edition of the local Eagan Magazine. And, on 17 February 2006 there was an article about Chameleon (“Chameleon to stage its first LAAC production”) printed in the local ThisWeek Newspaper. Both spoke of the ensemble and its new partnership with the Lakeville Area Arts Center, which begins with the upcoming performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
StarTribune
On the larger, metro-area scene, Chameleon was featured twice in the StarTribue, listed in three articles. In the Arts & Entertainment section (on the front page!), the Chameleon Theatre Circle was reviewed alongside a few other community theatre companies. Three photos from a rehearsal of Joseph were printed inside the Arts section where the article continues. And, two of those photos are shown on the online version of that story (“Community theater: Becoming someone else”).
The second article prints today in the South Metro section of the newspaper. Today’s article (“South-metro theater company graduates to more fitting venue”) talks about the “nomadic” Chameleon Theatre Circle and its new performance venue at the Lakeville Area Arts Center, where it will be performing Joseph. Another brief listing occurs that tells of the performance dates, et cetera.
Web Links
I can’t really describe the articles that well. And, of course, I am biased in favor of the ensemble. So, please check out the articles and check out the information available online about the upcoming performances!

The Know-It-All
Sarcastic (?) Humor
For Christmas this year my Aunt Peg gave me a day calendar called “The Know-It-All”, where each day has commentary on a simple fact read from the Brittanica (Encyclopedia). Some days the commentary seems quite foolish or comatose, but others have facts (or comments) that are a little more interesting.

heroin
Heroin was first developed by the Bayer company. That’ll whisk your headache away faster than a couple of dozen aspirin. Take two syringefuls and call me in the morning. Or later afternoon.
See what I mean?
