Holidays have begun!
Missing a holiday?
Did anyone notice if there was a Thanksgiving?
I turned on the radio and heard that Christmas music had started last Monday on 107.9 FM … before Thanksgiving! I watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and thought all I saw was Christmas as well. Did we forget something?
Oh well, nothing I could have done about it, I guess.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to all. I hope everyone has had a nice relaxing time away from work (except those who are stuck at commercial stores and restaurants, like my poor sister-in-law Rachel … I hope you get some time off soon!).
Here are a few “Thanksgiving jokes” from a good friend of mine to lighten the day!
here are three thanksgiving jokes that you can use to:
a) break the ice when awkwardly mingling with family members you only see on major holidays
b) cut the tension during a family meal time quarrel between your uncle bob and aunt sally over the lumps in the turkey gravy
c) laugh hysterically over, because honestly who doesn’t love a lil’ turkey humor?joke numero uno:
why can’t you take a turkey to church?
because they use such fowl language!
*knee slap, laugh, knee slap*
joke number two:
april showers bring may flowers, what do may flowers bring?
pilgrims!
*the sweet, tears of laughter start to well up*
joke three:
why did the police arrest the turkey?
they suspected fowl play!
*ba dump bump … ching!*
limited edition bonus joke at no extra charge *impressive ohhs and ahhs*
why did the turkey sit on the tomahawk?
to hatchet.
*hysterical laughter, all kinds of knee slapping and some fire works for dramatic effect*
have a happy, happy thanksgiving!

Chameleon Theatre Circle is proud to present …
“Into the Woods”
A funny, twisted, musical fairy tale.
I am a member of the pit orchestra for this musical and have the opportunity to see most of the show from backstage as I perform my instrumental part. I am constantly amazed at the quality and energy of this group of actors. This is the second show I have had the opportunity to perform with the Chameleon Theatre Circle, and I feel honored to have the chance. This musical is “top-quality” and an amazing performance to see!
When a Baker and his Wife learn they’ve been cursed with childlessness by the Witch next door, they embark on a quest for the special objects required to break the spell, swindling, lying to and stealing from Cinderella, Little Red Ridinghood, Rapunzel and Jack (the one who climbed the beanstalk).
Everyone’s wish is granted at the end of Act One, but the consequences of their actions return to haunt them later, with disastrous results. What begins a lively irreverent fantasy becomes a moving lesson about community responsibility and the stories we tell our children.
“Into the Woods” opened last Thursday (October 30, 2003) in Lakeville, Minnesota. The show has seven total performances (5 remaining). Come and see it!

Fancy Music Stand
Desca music stand — amazing
To all musicians out there, this is it! While rehearsing for an upcoming musical, a member of the pit came in with a new stand — one that collapses the stand and the desk itself. The stand rolls up into a small carrying box that you can carry with a shoulder strap … so much easier than carrying a larger stand or using than an unstable wire stand. Check it out!
